hello and welcome to the forums! I personally dont have it but im sure its worth its prize... a bic expensive but it should contain loads of detailed informations and masterpiece pictures :) Gonna get it as soon as i have the money for it.... or as a Xmas present :)
also curious about it!

I have it. I've not had a chance yet to read much of it but the number of species covered and with photos is quite impressive (it does not include Malagasy species). This book doesn't have any captive-related information, but for anyone interested in learning more about these animals and their natural history, it'd definitely be worth the money.

And there was much rejoicing.

FINALLY!

What a fantastic book! As Chris mentioned it isn't for the beginner keeper but if anyone is interested in natural history, taxonomy, habitat, etymology and all that nerdy stuff, this book is for you.

buy it if you are interestet in chameleons ... i have found a few errors...
but I still think it´s the best book ever about chamaeleons in the wild

long live Colin and hail his work with the creatures !!!

Howdy,

I got my copy a few weeks ago. Neat book! I've been poking around in it, on and off, ever since. Lots of interesting info. It's always fun to see photos of the local habitat for the different species. It's over 800 pages so it will keep me busy for a long time :). I got mine by calling directly to Eric and Anne at Zoo Book Sales and so did half a dozen other SBCK members. He's had brisk sales at the shows too. This is not a book about Panthers . It's everything else but Madagascar.

new bible

Mine just came today; I can't put it down and very little work is getting done. I have to think this volume will stand for many years as the bible on African sp.

I' just stunned by the depth of the work and the range of experience Dr. Tilbury has had. He's my new hero.

Does anybody here know Colin Tilbury?

A big huge round of cheers for him and everyone involved in producing 'Chameleons of Africa'

Wow.

P.S. Go Giants!

Mine just showed up, too. I've been dreaming of the day when this book would exist for years! :D

addicts

Just ordered mine - the peer pressure from this thread got to be too much for me...;)

Yeah, you start with a little "gateway" cham, and pretty quick you fall in with the addicts and you're into the heavy stuff...
