hard water and hatchling shedding

Curious if anyone has noticed any problems with using hard water during mistings and its effect on hatchling shedding.

I have noticed that some of my little guys are having retaining shed if they are misted with hard water during the shed (pieces of shed skin comming off but when sprayed get cemented on). The areas that seem to show this problem most are the limbs. I have been treating this with epson salt diluted with water which dries out the dead skin and allows it to fall off, but this isnt practicle.

Im trying to isolate if too much moisture or hardwater is the problem.

Containers dry out between mistings, but they may be taking too long to dry out.

Sincerely,

Chris

Where I lived prior to now had great water, we had excellent city water plus a water softner and the chams always shed great. Now we moved and this area has terrible water that is very hard. I always recommend zoomed reptisafe water conditioner or exo terra aquatize conditioner. They aid in shedding and I think they help a great deal. Good luck

I would recommend an RO system. We have hard water and a water softner and my female would have edema until the RO system. I would think it would help with the shedding also.
