Hanging upside down?

Why do young chameleons like to climb up to the top of their enclosure and hang upside down? I have noticed this with all 3 of mine when they were younger. They eventually stop doing it when they get too heavy to hold on, but why do they do it in the first place? Just because they can? Are they trying to get closer to the lights for more UVB or heat? Just wondering.

Pretty sure in the wild most chams would shoot down vs up, and babies like to dangle from the rear legs so they have a wider "bug spread".

Could be worse, imagine you found the perfect basking spot, and the Mrs comes over and steals all your heat

Mine still does it from time to time and he is a year old and big.
