Handling your Cham

This is probably a dumb question but I was wondering if its healthy to handle your Cham a lot? My veiled loves to be handled and always comes and climbs on me when I open his cage. I always make sure my hands are clean before and after I handle him. I take him out ever day was just curious if it was recommended or not?

If your chameleon is asking for it, then it's ok. All of mine scratch to come out and I let them most of the time, and this is fine.

What you don't want is to pull an angry, scared animal from his cage every day, because this is stressing him out and this can make him ill. But if you're lucky enough to have a chameleon that climbs out onto you and seems to tolerate it then great.

I've never had to pull him out of his cage. Thankfully, he always comes to me. Everyone keeps telling me he's going to be aggressive when he matures (he's only 6 months). I hope he stays sweet :) Your panther in your default pic is beautiful :o

Our panther is always begging to come out and crawls on to us. Our Jacksons loves to come out, but on his own terms. We connect a vine to his cage and his free range and he goes out on his own.

Mine seems to be getting nicer as he's maturing- mine's 10 months old. Hopefully yours stays nice :)
