Handling cham

So what would be the best way to really start getting my chameleon to get use to me holding her and not just run? I would love to take her outside and such but its hard to get her to come out and i don't want to just stress her out every time.

Hand feeding is the best way to earn trust. Use something they really like and go nuts for and only give it from your hand. Be patient. It takes time.

I've been attempting hand feeding superworms every few days. Some days it's successful, other days it's not. After a bout a week or two of doing this I've noticed my veiled would bolt for cover as soon as I open the cage but still puts on his nervous colors and moves when my hand enters the cage. Little bit of progress is still better than no progress I suppose.

Keep at it and in time she will trust you.

Never put the hand in the cage. Id start by leaving the cage open with feeders along the edge if you can. The are much calmer outside the cage. I can hand my cham to 7 year olds and its chill, but i still get poofed at if i go in after him in his tree, even if im just cleaning the tree and not going for the gold.

Hand feeding has worked well for me. Echo's only path to it was up my arm. He has warmed up very quickly, and now comes out of his cage every chance he gets, and digs at the door when he wants out! I do pay attention to his body language and colors, and when he has had enough, I offer him back into his cage. Sometimes he turns around and dives in, and sometimes he is happy to stay right where he is. I do not consider him "tamed", but tolerant and trusting. It's always his choice, and I don't force it.

I go with rainbow mealworms just do the cheapness in shipping and they sell sizes, however if you are looking for a variety box there may be better options. Id also hit up the local pet stores because some are staring to sell the 10 pack of hornworms for 5 bucks, mine still only sells one hornworm for 3 bucks.
