Four days??? Give the animal time to settle, all you'll do is stress it & make it scared of you. Wait until it is comfortable in your presence & will feed in front of you. Then you can try offering food by hand. I have found using tongs first, then your fingers/hand. Also hold the food further away than four inches, let him make the move towards you. Rather than thrusting the insect in his face.
You also need to accept that no matter how hard you try, it may never feed from your hand. I had a male veiled once (from a 12 week old baby) & it took over three months before he would even feed with me watching him. I couldn't ever get him to hand feed.
Good luck, just be patient.
