gutload question?

can you gutload crickets with chicken? I buy my crickets from Lazy H bait and the owner told me you can mash up chicken and also cheerios are great! Ever heard of this??????????

do not feed them chicken. i believe the guy was talking about chicken feed. but you have to be extreamly careful. cannot used commercial chicken feed, only organic. you also have to watch the nutrition levels.. protein, calcium.. some use it, but i wouldnt

ok on the chicken but what about cheerios?. He told me that alot of people who have chams that he sells crickets to use Cheerios! I looked up the content and of course it is loaded with vitamins. just curious what would be the downside to that?

the vitamins are added and did not come naturally

it will be like giving your crickets vitamins instead of giving
them the veggies that have the vitamins naturally

Gutloading is very important. Whole grain cereals such as Total, can be used in small amounts. It is usually used in combination with several different ingredients to make a good dry gutload, not just on it's own.
