Don't bother watching past the first two worms. He realized there was a camera there and refused to eat the third one. He's super sweet and loves eating out of fingers.

aaaand here's some pictures, because we were bored.

First thing in the morning, he's super yellow. His entire base is yellow with blue bars. Here he is turning back to green because the camera came out.

I just adore his little tail! It goes from blue at the base, to red at the tip!

and here's Gunther's arch enemy! My little guy will actually approach and display at my dog. It's pretty funny to watch and the dog (Beezer) just sits there and looks at him.

That coloration is pretty intense for a 5 month old. I would think more likely 8-9 months of age, he would also be huge for a 5 month old. But in anycase, he is very beautiful

I really have no idea. I got him from Kammerflage on Nov. 18th. They told me he was 11-12 weeks old. If you look at their website, one of their holdback babies from the same father also shows really intense color for a 5.5 month old. Maybe it's the line? Or maybe they have their dates mixed up.

Im just going off the size in the video ( from my own judgement ) and the coloration in your photos.

Maybe someone else will chime in and provide more information.

But he definitely looks a lot older than a 5 month old, the coloration says the same thing.

Chameleons do not really come into their true colors until about 7 months, it steadily progresses and full coloration ends sometime between a year and a year and a half. Based on his brightness and the general all around-ness of the coloration, im sticking to my guns with probably 8 months of age.

Websites are tricky, many times the animals age is listed once and doesn't change even though the animal has been for sale for many months.

For Future reference, an excellent breeder will record hatch dates on all their animals. Then a simple email will give you the exact age of the chameleon. Many breeders do not do this though because it is time consuming.

Personally, I have never bought from Kammers as I think they are a tad bit over priced *GASP*. Though many people say the animals are worth it. Since I haven't bought though I do not really know their practices, and thus cannot say.

In the end, what does a few months really matter? You still have a beautiful friend no matter what. Now ide be pissed if someone said the animal way 6 months and it was really two years old... but with chameleons its pretty easy to tell a neon from a juve and a juve from an adult. Adults are the only tricksters with age.

Liddy provided me with the general date when his clutch's eggs started hatching. And their website updates pretty quickly as new animals are introduced and others sold. But like I said, all I really have to go by is their word. And like you said it really doesn't matter, he's still my little sweetie no matter if he's 5 months old or 7 months old.

Ok,

at the pomona reptile show I saw with my own eyes from 3 month old chams - they are a little longer than from the tip of your fingernail on index finger to the joint knuckle. This is excluding tail, with tail they would probably be a little longer than your index knuckle. If that makes sense.

Its quite possible you have chamzilla. Some lines are renown for massive babies that come from a massive sire. Its all in the genetics.

hehehe, but if your like me - and wish your chams happy birthday on their birthday.... lol yes this is true. Then having their age matters

My search for the elusive Nosy Faly and Nosy Mitsio was a total bust

well I found a mitsio, but it was a female and... well I was not exactly positive it was a mitsio.

I too wanted to bring home numerous chameleons and other reptiles. A nice frilled lizard or two too free range the family room, and maybe a nile moniter to grace the dining room?

The chams were just amazing though.
