Grow light question

Can i use a Zoo Med Ultra Sun 6500k Super Daylight Lamp as a grow light for my cage?

any 6500 k bulb will should work good. just adjust wattages for heat.


I use cheap 6500k compacts from walmart

Also use exo terra repti glo 2.0s which out perform my cheap walmart 6500k but they still are great bulbs for price.

My best growing terrarium has a 5.0 and 2.0 exo terra bulbs in it though. Very green moss and very pretty orchids do well in there.

Depends how big and close. Big cage no probably not. Small cages like an exo terra yes.


I like to mix up and put 2.0 bulbs in dual hoods with a cheap 6500k bulb as well. Thats works good and saves few buck which is why I probably do it.
