Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.( he has been grey for about a month, but he is eating great. See pics of him on my thread in gen discusion. It is titled question about my veiled)

I am gonna try to find a 75 to 100 watt bulb. The 60 watt was good when he was younger but I also think it is to cold.

Yeah def try going 85-90f and keep a good eye on him for a day or two and see if it helps. As an adult they can actually have a basking temp upwards of 95f.

Also I think he is way to small for his age. I have seen male veileds on here that are a year old and mine is not even half their size.

I have the same problem... My male veiled is 4.5 months old and not even half the size of other chams I see his age. I think he was a runt in his clutch.

I think mine is the runt to lol. Look at the pics of mine. He is 9 months in that pic. I took all three of them last night.

O wow yeah I didn't even notice your cage size the first time I read through your post. Yeah You def need a larger cage, as a full grown adult(about 15 months or so) he should be in a 2x2x4 or larger enclosure, it wouldn't be an issue to have him in one that big now.

I think we have the 18x18x36 or the 24x24x36 one. I know we got the biggest one so we wouldn't have to buy another one later when he grows.

I posted in your other thread with the pictures of him... How long has it been since you replaced his UVB? Also, are you supplementing him with calcium without D3 every day?

Do you know how tall his cage is? If not, can you measure it? It sounds like it might be too small for a 9 month old. I know that I moved my older veiled cham into an adult cage (24x24x36) when she was not quite big enough to need it, and her growth took off. It seems to me that there is some kind of mental thing involved and they grow better when they have more space to grow in. I am about to try the same thing with my little boy. We'll see if it works for him too.

One last thing - I noticed that you are in Gainesville - I'm from Cumming! I currently live in Kennesaw. I love finding fellow forum members who are local. :)

Ok I am a idiot. He is 4 months old we got him in june of this year. And his temps are 82 to 87 at day and 75 at night. His cage is a 24x24x36 my wife just measured it lol.

I grew up in that little neighborhood behind the library. (I think it's called North Dale? Not sure - the sign was broken most of my life after a truck backed into it, haha.) Then we moved into Starr Creek Forest off Hurt Bridge Road (off Hwy 20). Then we moved to Loganville... a town I hope I never have the misfortune of returning to. I moved to Kennesaw three years ago for college.

If I'm remembering correctly, I'm pretty sure my dad's first job was at Granny's convenience store when he was in high school! Small world. He grew up off 53.
