Im pretty sure my female veiled has eggs but i have thought this before lol i did put her in her laying bin the other day and nothing:( she has been going all spotty lately and has been going to the bottom of her enclosure, not to mention the fact she looks like a ball with legs lol ive attached some pics what do you guys think??

how much do you feed her?
she may have eggs, but the only way to know is when she lays them or have x rays done.

you should keep a lay bin in her cage at all times, so if she has to lay she can.

once a female decides they need to lay, it can take 3+ days for them to actually finish the job.

I cut chamelias food down about a month ago when i heard it might stop her laying so i feed her 4/5 crickets aday or 4 small roaches and on the odd day i give her a locust aswell, her permenant home is being built so her enclosure is just temporary so thers no laying bin in there, should i just wait a day or two and put her back in her laying bin? Im pretty sure i can see the eggs maybe shes just not ready to lay yet?

I would do that amount of food every other day.
what is her basking temp?
i would put a small bin in her cage, that she can scratch around in, to show you she needs to lay.

it can take 3-6 weeks after a female starts making eggs for them to be laid.

Thanks ill put some play sand in there? Her basking spot is around 82 and ill try cut back her food a little more, i get so paranoid about the chameleons everyone on this forum must be sick of me lol

Just do 4-6 bugs every other day, that will do just fine for her.
and yes play sand is fine.

the forum is here for questions and to help. :D

Just based on the colour I don't think she looks gravid. How old is she? Have you ever seen any blue or orange stripes or patches?
You've probably already seen this caresheet - https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/chameleonsinmyhouse/395-veiled-chameleon-care-sheet.html
And the Jannb laying bin info. - https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/jannb/345-egg-laying-laying-bin.html

Shes 5-6 months old, she gets purple spots but ive never seen any blue or orange but shes acting differently lately she was hiding all day yesterday and she had these purple spots alot and she wouldnt eat anything yesterday but she ate fine today and has been out at the front all day and has been her normal colours most of the day maybe she just hates me because i keep putting her in a laying bin lol panicking that she might get egg bound i should probly mention that chamelia is my first chameleon so i dont know what to expect yet thats why i worry about her having eggs:) i also have a male but he gives me nothing to worry about lol

She definitely looks big, but I don't think I can see any egg-shaped bulges. if she's still eating then she's unlikely to be about to lay (in the next couple of days at least).
You will almost certainly notice some extra activity as well as scratching/ digging at the sides and bottom of her enclosure when or if she's about to drop.
