Gravid?

She's probably not ready yet, and therefore not receptive. When she is receptive her colouring will change, and she'll get gold/brown/yellow splodges and blue spots. At the moment her clolouring is not suggesting receptive.

IMHO the female is either full of eggs or very overweight. How is she behaving? Eyes shut or open during the day? Sitting low in the cage? Inactive or active?

Her eyes are open and she is inactive and just sits under the basking lamp.
I think she is going to lay an infertile clutch because i just weighed her and she has put on 20g fron wednesday, i also saw some bumps at her rear end this morning.:D

Keep an eye on her...if she starts shutting her eyes or going downhill in any way...you will need to get to a vet ASAP. I'm concerned about her.

I can't really see your face in the picture.... but you seem a bit young to be breeding chameleons. I say this because it takes a bit of money to prepare for the incubator, cages and tubs, lights and feeder food for the hatchlings and then you need to find new owners for the babies. Veiled chameleons will not rake in the money. It will cost you more money to have baby chams than you will make by selling them off.

About the female. I think you really need to wait before mating her. she is young and obviously not happy when the male is around. Let her cycle an infertile clutch before mating her. Put her in a cage where she can't see the male (you do keep them separate?) Get a 5 gallon bucket ready for her. fill it almost full with peet moss and sand mixed together. Just to see if shes ready place her into the bucket and leaver her ALONE for a couple of hours. place a low wattage household lamp above her for some heat, but not much. Make sure no one can see her and that she can't see you. after about two hours see if shes digging. be sneaky...... don't let her see you. if shes sitting there looking confused as to why she is in a bucket... put her in to her cage and try again in a few days. Sometimes it helps to have a little cover in the bucket... but whatever you put in there make sure she can't climb her way out. You need about 10 inches of dirt for her to dig into.
