Hey everyone
I have a 4-5 month old veiled female named Ellinore. By the looks of it, do you think I need a laying bin, or does she just look beefy? I got her from a breeder, and a male from the same clutch is three times smaller than she is.

She most definitely could have eggs at that age especially if you over feed and keep her to warm. I'm attaching a few links about keeping veileds, keeping females, egg laying and the laying bin and how to make a laying bin.
Do you have any photos of your male? I'd recommend a fecal on him to check for parasites. Parasites can keep them from growing especially coccidia.

Thank you Jann! I have been following your threads and we keep her basking around 75-80.. so not too warm, and she doesn't eat too too much! The male isn't mine, he is a friends. She isn't really to into him, she really sees him as more of a novelty than anything. I have gotten her the right stuff, but it's up to her to use it.
What do you use to check your temps?
Jumping in here but is there an accurate IR Temperature Gun you recommend?
The prices vary widely. Not sure what to think about that and I have no experience with one.
