idk I might try some moss..... I figured it would be hard to get it to thrive in a screen cage compared to an aquarium tank..... I know it needs to be pretty humid and moist for it.
I was just recently reading about someone using grass to deal with some of the water in the cage... I'd quite fancy trying moss myself, although it sounds like they have a tendency to dry out! Then again, with all the misting it would get...
I never bought moss so its hard to say. I got to local streams, neighbors yard, outskirts of cornfields, brick walls ect. I do sift for little bugs or critters. If I do see some small critters Ill look for a clean piece.
I'm intrigued by this. I grow wheat grass for the guinea pigs. I'd never thought of putting some in with the chameleon. I may give this a try.
You can buy wheat berries for almost nothing at "healthy" stores (here, I go to Henry's). It takes a couple of days of soaking and rinsing to get them to sprout, but once they do, put them in soil and they take off pretty fast.
I am having a lot of luck using an IV bag with a drip set also, I work at a vets office. I am sure if you go into your vet and ask they would have an empty bag, you will probably have to pay for the line, but shouldn't be more than a couple bucks.
