Got new enclosures today!!

Just received my order from lllreptile... Got 2 complete chameleon packages for my baby Veiled's. They are only 2 months old, so I got them the 38 gallon setup (16.5x16.5x30). The package came with reptiglo 5.0 light, 60watt basking light & fixture, thermometer and vines. I know that the reptisun 5.0 is highly recommended.. Will they be ok with the reptiglo or should I order the reptisun? Whats the difference between the two? I also got them each a live plant (schefflera, washed, repotted in organic soil, and covered the surface with large river rocks) The plant is quite bushy, so I didn't add any of the silk vines that came with the package. I also haven't turned on the basking light... the temp at the top of cage is 80-83F, which from what I understand is adequate basking temp for babies. I don't want to make it TOO hot for them (temp in the center of the enclosure is 73-75F) I also got 2 large droppers... have not set them up yet, but have been misting them manually 3x's a day and they have both been drinking without a problem. Right now I have only set up the girl's enclosure, want to make sure everything is OK and check with ya'll to see if I am missing any essentials. I do have their cages side by side, but plan to place a garbage bag in between the cages, so that they won't be able to see each other. Am also going to place some rubbermaid bins below the cages, for drainage. The girl has been very active, climbing around and checking out her new home.. checked out crickets in her feeder cup, but didn't eat any yet. Also, there is a ceiling fan in the room, should I keep it off or turn it on low for air circulation? Attached some pics of the enclosures/setup. Our plan is to slowly convert the (boring) office into a rainforest themed reptile room :D

cages look great. the uvb bulb you have is fine. some ppl have preferences, but they do the same thing, so no worries. your temps are great, and if you dont need the basking bulb, dont use it.
as for your fan, i would just see if the moving air affects your temps and drops them too much, if not,t hen dont worry about it.

good luck converting the room!

Thank you! :) Will check temps with fan on to see if there is a big temperature drop or not. Overnight temp in old enclosures was 65-70F (but that was downstairs, new set up is upstairs which is generally warmer) Just want to make sure they are safe, happy and healthy!

Nice set up. Good choice with the Schfelleras plant. That was the first live plant I snagged and Chameleonaire loves it. She eats it from time to time and drinks the majority of her water from the crease in those waxy leaves.

Thank you! So far so good.. the girl seems like she's really enjoying the new enclosure.. she's loving the schefflera, got lots of foliage to hide in!

Updated Pix.. Completed setup!

We completed our Cham's set up! Did the boy's cage, placed garbage back in between both cages as divider so they can't see each other, got them both digital combo thermometer/hygrometers.. (acu-rite i think?) bought them at home depot $9.99 each. then went to walmart and saw the same exact ones for $2 cheaper (each!) same brand and style. They have magnets on back, so I placed them back to back against the top of center wall and they hold each other up perfectly! They seem to be accurate, both have the same temp/humidity readings, maybe 1 number off occasionally. I'm also surprised at how accurate the cheap Zoo-Med sticky thermometer is, shows the same reading as the digital combo! But I'm glad to have more than 1 anyway just to be safe =) daytime temps: basking 80-82F, ambient 72-75F, night temps 62-65F. humidity levels 50-60%. Got their droppers going too.. have not yet placed rubbermaid tub underneath for drainage, most of the water from dripper n hand misting seems to go into the schefflera (its so full and bushy that the water doesn't make it to the cage floor). However I am really happy about the cage's mesh floor, makes the drainage issue so much more simple! They are both drinking.. haven't seem them eat yet, am just trying to leave them alone so they can adjust to their new homes :)

looking good so far! are you planning on adding and horizontial pathways for them to rest and bask on?

Yes, definitely want to add some pathways... Debating on whether to order some of the exo-terra bendable waterproof jungle vines twisting them together to make a larger branch-like basking perch and then have some zig zagging throughout the cage. Or if maybe I should use wooden dowels. Do the dowels have to be treated before hand, to make them waterproof. Are they ok as is? Will they swell up or rot from frequent misting/humidity? Any recs on the best way to set them up on the mesh cages? They are kinda flimsy, don't wanna rip the mesh netting.

I think a combination of he two is a good idea, the rowels are quite rigid so the twisty vines help give a bit more "flexibility" to the enclosure. The dowels can be held in place with tacks/pushpins from the outside....
