Sharing a funny story. Bought a cup of hornworms last week. They grow fast! I was hand feeding my two year old female veiled chameleon a worm on the end of my index finger. Well, the worm stuck to my hand tight. When she shot out her tongue to get it, the bug did not move! It had a super grip on my finger! I put my hand into the cage to allow her tongue to retract and got bit on the end of my finger! It was painful, but I think it scared us both more.
From now on I will place them flat in my hand. I have had my two females for over two years now and this is the first time I was bit. 15 minutes after my finger was still tingling lol.
