Goodbye Little Man :(

From a previous thread my veiled chameleon had been struggling with a swollen eye which turned out to be a bad abcess, before finding out it was a abcess he went through 3 shots of antibiotics and today he was taken in has me and the herp vet agreed on surgery but this morning he was lethargic but sadly after about an hour or so the vet phoned me to say my chameleon had passed away while under antithetic

So upset, he was my first Chameleon and even though he was moody, loved him to bits. R.I.P

Very sorry you lost him but you did do all that you could to care for him. Hopefully your next guy will be healthier to start a long life with you.

Thank you for everyone replies, was really hoping he'd pull through, I know all treatment cost me over £100 but I didn't care as long as he came home healthy

I switched his lights off when I came home and buried him in the garden and his cage now looks so dark and lonely without him there, I actually miss him hissing and lunging at me when I tried to get his feeding cup out to feed him. I know I have my panther chameleon, Sebastian to focus on but I actually out of force of habit when to spray its cage and leaves thinking he was still there
