dunno exactly sure its fine some palms have paper sharpness though if you know what i mean so be careful and envision the way your chams hands will be gripping the foilage before you make a choice

hibiscus is agreat plant. As well it is coming into season now. Here in ontario can anyway. Home Depot is a hidden gem of a place to find plants. That is where I got my parlour palms. I wish u were near I have so many plants. I would share with u no prob. I have ficus but I don't use it in the cages due to the risk of eye infection that I heard about. Another good plant is baby tears kinda like beans sprouts to us. But my female veiled loves both the hibiscus and the tears. Something to think about. Good luck. Chris....

Yea Home Depot has a lot of nice plants. I've found though that Lowe's not only has better prices, but also doesn't use any pesticides in their nursery. I may just check Home Depot out though for some Parlor Palms. Do you have any pictures of yours so I know what to look for? And although gettin help with some plants would be awesome guy, Canada is too damn cold for a guy like me, I'd probably freeze instantly into a popsicle lol

whooever told you lowes doesn't use pesticides was 100 percent full of $h!t
those plants come from mass produced nurseries in the southeast region and i garuntee most plants at lowes have been sprayed with airborne pesticide before they get there
if price is your concern, at home depot go to the smallest of small plants
they are 2.49 angel cups of many different types of plants if you go there when they first get a shipment you'll have all kind of great stuff to choose from then its just a matter of repotting them to a nice pourous mix that can handle all the water your cham requires
i picked up some awesome baby palms for 2.49 each the other day

Damn it, I was told by their nursery manager that they dont use any pesticides. I hope Liz doesn't get sick now, as she ate some flowers and leaves off the Bridal Veil. Whats the best way to wash them out? I've heard dunking them upside down in soapy water, I just think that might be kinda hard for the Bridal Veil...

no just take a soft dish pad and scrub the big leaves with water!
they probably don't use any instore, but those plants aren't in store for very long they spend most their lives in the fields and then they move pretty quickly to the consumer, also you really can't listen to much those people say or they wouldn't be making 7 bucks an hour working full time!

Point taken. Now obviously bridal veils dont have any large leaves. Maybe just brush over most of the branches...hopefully Liz will be happy with that. Also Dank, if ya could, take a look at my new thread. I'm concerned that Liz isn't exploring her cage..
