I know its listed on FLCham's website but wanted to make sure that it was REALLY safe. Has anyone used them in their cages? Our Postal Exchange here on post has a whole bunch and thinking about getting some if they really are safe!

TIA

They are allegedly (the milk) a mild hallucinogen however only if these are consumed in larger amounts. Other than that they are considered safe. That is one of the ironies when looking for plants for chameleons there is not much research about how toxic plants are to chameleons. Currently most list are based on how toxic certain plants are to other animals. For example Pothos are considered toxic however chameleons are well documented to eat their leaves with no ill effects. It should be safe just watch for feeding in lager amounts on the leaves.

Yea its not fun finding plants here where I live. Walmarts plants never are watered. Lowes doesnt have a big variety to choose from, and well Home Depot is 19 miles away from us and hubby said no! I should of picked up this pothos I seen here at our PX when they still had them *sigh*
