Golden pothos question

Anyone keep these in there enclosure ? If so will excessive water in the soil rot the roots? I've read different things on them. Also will wrapping them around fake vines train them to grow like that?

Pothos are amazing. If the pot drains well, the plant will be fine. Yes, you can train the to vine along just about anything. My pothos in my enclosure is just Exploding. In 6 months it's gone from 3ft tall to about 10ft long. They seem to do very well in low light and tolerate overwatering well. Under watering will stunt their growth, but they spring back well.

Great thanks! Quick question where should I take my humidity reading ? I have not added a Cham to my enclosure yet just dialing it in... At the top I get 20% middle is 40 and bottom is 55% before misting is this good? I can't get it any higher that's with 2 sides plexied and a monsoon going for 45 seconds every 2 hours

That's good. You want spikes and falls throughout the day. I have my hygrometer mounted about midheight in the cage away from the mister so it doesn't get wet.

You may want to offer one longer misting session in the morning. I have a Jackson chameleon and he likes a good long shower in the mornings, so I have a 10 minute session at 8:00 am. Kind of depends on your chameleon, if you have a dripper, and your drainage system.

Like Lathis said, maybe a little longer sessions. I do my three times a day 8mins in the more 30mins after lights on, then around 1pm he gets a fifteen mins shower then about an hour before lights out its another 8min session. My humidity spikes and then drops and I have plenty of time in between for it to dry out.

The only drainage I have is the pothos plant and a couple umbrella tree pots.... No dripper I was thinking he can drink every time the mister kicks in ..I will pump up the times .... The monsoon only offered a believe 2min max run time so maybe every 3 hours do 2 min?

I grow pothos right in the water in frog tanks and aquaria. They thrive even when the whole root structure is underwater...
