Going to make THIS into a new cage...

I bought this off of craigslist (was used to house an iguana) They were asking $75 and I offered $50. its 4H4L2W. The top is metal screening and the doors are plexiglas. The rest of it is partical board cover in fermica. I plan to cut a HUGE rectangle out of the 2 sides to create airflow (lineing the entire inside of the cage with vinyl screening to allow for climbing). I also bought a 4x2 piece of partical cork board with wholes throughout. Im also going to cover that with screen and use it as a divider wall, creating two equal 2x2x4ft size cages. One side will house my 6 1/2 month old Veiled and the other a 10 month old Panther that I will have on Wed. Any other suggestions? I was also concidering drilling a few holes into the doors twords the top for added air. But not certain.

That's pretty cool! I think it's a great cage. Just make sure both chams can't see each other if you make the divider, use a solid divider if you can.

Good buy!

Not entirely certain how important it may or not be.
But if it was my cage, I would be sure to clean the inside with some type of reptile-safe cleaner. The forums have info on using everything from commercial cage cleaner to hydrogen peroxide. Just my opinion though.

You could use peg board as the center divider. It would allow airflow and i dont think the holes are large enough to allow them to see each other.

I am so jealous, that is a good find! It looks perfect! As posted above, you could use peg board as a divider, which would allow for some air flow, and it would make it easier to attach vines and other stuff inside the cage. Are those bug stickers? Your cham might be fooled into thinking its a tasty treat! Haha, just kidding, i don't know if it matters if those are in there or not, but I would probably remove them anyways. But i don't know if it actually matters. Anyways... It looks good.

I got this off craigslist today -- FREE! I couldn't believe it. I'm making two enclosures out of it. The dimensions are 48" W x 72"H x 24" D! What do you guys think? Honestly, craigslist can be great if you have patience. I've been scouring the site for months and now I found this ...

I appologize...it IS peg board. its brown with small holes. enough to let the air move but they arent really big enough to see through. Good suggestion lol

LOL yeah I had already thought about the stickers. I thought it was kinda funny that they had put them in there! they will all be removed. I dont want them getting hurt trying to catch them
