So I'm going on vacation for 5 days and have no one that can take care of Jose. Last resor is bringing him with. How can I keep him safe and calm for a 2 hour ride to the beach?

That's easy, he'll do fine in a small, dark box (something like a shoe box or something slightly bigger). He'll go right to sleep and not notice the car drive. I used to do three hour drives back and forth with my chameleons across the state every couple weekends and they did just fine. It was like a strange nap to them! Except for Daedalus, who is friendly and calm enough to ride on he head rest of the passenger seat.

Ok, but csn I bring his old glass cage for him to be in so I don't have to fully set up his cage again?
Glass cage and beach sound like it would turn into an oven. I would try to find a way for your cham to stay home while you enjoy your vacation.

Leaving for 5 days honestly I would feed right before I left. Then I would free range 6 crickets and stash 6 in a cup hidden somewhere.Hopefully he don't feel like eating 18 crickets in one day . He's not gonna starve, but thats me.
Misting would be the hard part if you don't have mister.

Do you have reptile stores in your area? Sometimes they will board pets.
5 days is not a long time. All you really need is a way to make sure the water drips and the cage drainage doesn't over flow. If your chameleon is a juvenile, you'll probably need to have him fed at least once.
Are you sure there's no one who could handle that? It doesn't have to be perfect care, it just needs to be adequate care.

I just asked my neighbor and he said he would. He's had an iguana before so he's had reptile experience. Even though they aren't anything close to chameleons.

That's great. For 5 days, it really doesn't take an expert. Just someone who won't flinch at the crickets is good enough.
