going on vacation for two weeks?

So I have a 2 week long vacation planned (to see my boyfriend for the first time in 6 months. oh god so excited!) and my parents offered to watch over my pets while I'm gone. My cat is easy, the sugar glider is a tad more difficult, but still relatively easy compared to Kukui, my 9-10 month old male veiled.

I am transporting all the animals over to their house tuesday night and my dad is driving me down to the airport wednesday morning. However, I have my mister screwed into the wall (after having it fall off the shelf or get knocked over by the cat on more than one occasion). So I figured a hand sprayer and a plastic bottle with a needle hole in the bottom would suffice? As well as maybe having their humidifier in the room? Anyone else have any ideas?

What about food? I have a drawing showing my parents how to hang dark leafy greens from the spot Kukui feeds from, but crickets are going to be my biggest issue. I'm bringing over approx 100 crickets, assuming worst case scenario and my mom leaves the lid off the cricket box and a bunch escape. I explained that anywhere from 6-8 crickets every other day would suffice. I tried explaining the dusting schedule and how to gutload, but I am scared that my mom will kind of shrug it off or lose track of where she is on the dusting schedule or whatever. My dad is a bit more informed, since he decided to research chams by himself, but he works a lot and then has a bunch of extra-curricular activities, so my mom will be the main caretaker.

Anyone have any surefire methods so my mom won't inadvertently kill Kukui?

As I was typing this, I swear Kukui looked at me and gave me stink eye for going on vaycay. lol.

I would divide the crickets into cups, put in food for them, & forget dusting while you are gone and increase the chances of your cham being cared for correctly. If you have to take supplements to feel ok, then take plain calcium. Two weeks won't hurt a healthy veiled.

Genius! And this is why you are awesome, Laurie!
