Gnat/fruit fly problem

Hey guys, anyone have a easy way to set up some kind of fly catcher? I've noticed that my chameleons cage is starting to get some gnats in it and as well as my crickets container. They are starting to get into my apartment now and my wife is not liking it lol. Any suggestions on a trap that looks descreat and not harmful for my Cham? Thanks!

Get a jar/glass of apple cider vinegar and line the top with saran wrap. Then poke holes in the wrap where the flies can crawl into but not crawl out. Works wonders for me!

Lowes has a glass beehive shaped jar that does the same thing more attractively if aesthetics are an issue.
You can find them near the potted house plants. Go figure.

Be aware that the "gnats" may not be fruit flies. They could also be fungus gnats that hatch out of potting soil that's kept too saturated. If they are not attracted by the apple cider jar, they may well be fungus gnats. The best way to get rid of them is to replace the potting soil (that could be full of eggs) and then increase the drainage rate of your cage plants' pots.

Oh ok great! If they aren't attracted then I'll replace the soil. I usually don't water the plants heavy, I just mist them down when I spray the cage to keep the fungus down. Learned that pretty quickly within the first two weeks I put live plants in his cage. Thanks for your help!
