Just a few pics of Gizzy enjoying some time out in the sun at long last :D She had a wail of a time. No doubt tomorrow the good old English weather will return, lol.

Like you i live in the north of England and i didn't know it was warm enough to have my chameleon out yet. She's nearly 6months old would it be ok? What does the temp need to be outside?

My rule of thumb is, if it's warm enough for me to sit still outside without a jacket (can have long sleeves on), it's warm enough for the cham. This would generally be 60 F and above. If she's cold and unhappy, you'll be able to tell.
Note: My above rule is if it's sunny. I wouldn't take 'em out at 60 on an overcast day.

Very nice looking. How old is Gizzy? I have a 6 month old female veiled and Im just waiting for her to get blue and yellow in her.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys :D

Dreamforthedead - like Hallenhe,I use the above method too when deciding if it is warm enough to go outside. As today was cloudless here (volcanic ash free here, lol) and nice and warm it semed like the perfect opportunity to get Gizzy out and about.

Ghettomike - Gizzy is now 18 months old and by about 8 months she had her colours. It`s brilliant when they first start to get their own markings and colour I took lots of pics before during and after colours they are great to look back on. :D

Awww! Sally, she is beautiful! :D The photos are really lovely - Gizzy looks right at home in that tree! Chams always look so happy outside (apart from my Tommy, lol!)

Gizzy is such a beauty, she does seem to be having a fine time. You should be commended for the wonderful care Gizzy has received. She doesn't look like she ever had a problem.:)

Thanks guys it`s just amazing, not onyl to still have her, but to be able to watch her being a chameleon again. :D

Thanks Laurie although the vet can certainly take all the credit, he did a great job and went right out of his way to make sure she pulled through. Gizzy is even exhibiting PMT (permanent lizard tantrums) now that she is feeling better, lol.:D God help us if she doesn`t get her own way. ;):D

 BOB is the same i took him out the other day and the swine bit me cos he didnt want to come out then ran off onto a branch so i put him back the little git

she looks great outside :) its ashame over here we cant allow them to live outside all year round as they seem happier (apart from bob and tommy LOL)

It should be nice and warm here tomorrow again lol so perfect opportunity to take the little one out!

Gizzy is soo sweet :)
I love her green

Aaaw it is such a shame Tommy and Bob don`t like the outdoors. It must be pretty daunting though, i mean it`s all just so big and scary out there for little chams who live indoors isn`t it ?

I hope the bite isn`t too bad Andy, thankfully i have never been bitten (yet) by Gizzy. She hisses and gapes but that`s it.

I took Tommy out for a while again at lunch time. He clings to me so hard I can almost feel his 'talons' piercing my skin! He latches on with his vice-like grip - I still have the marks on my hand over 6 hours later! We also have a tree like yours in our garden and I took him to it and he reached out for the nearest branch. I couldn't let him climb around though as I am quite short and the tree is much taller than me! I think we all know what would happen if I let him play for too long, lol! I think I might trim the tree a bit so it's not so tall then they can both have a play in the summer!:D (Not at the same time though!) He had a bit longer outside today and I'm sure he'll learn to enjoy his sun time. He actually basked yesterday when I held him in the sun by the window, so things are looking up! It's all rather new to him, bless him!

That`s great news ! Hopefully he will soon love his outdoor time. Perhaps he`ll become a shimmering sun tanned Adonis and have the girlies falling at his feet, lol.

Gizzy seems to like everything apart from the airplanes (we live on the flight path) and bumble bees. She doesn`t mind birds, but she takes off running if a bee flies past her :D
