Girl panther chameleon not eating

You should definitely go with an all screen cage for her. The eco terra vivs are nice but they really arent big enough for adult panthers, even females. She needs a good amount of space to get exercise in and find cooler or warmer spots in. The cage she is in now doesnt seem to have that much room for a temp gradient.

It is pretty small I think 18"18"36" is ok for a female with what I read in the link. But these reptibreeze cages make it tough to use a misting machine. So that still have to be done by hand. She been hideing a lot too so something is wrong. But I will do these changes.

I dont completely agree with 18 x 18 x 36 being ok, but you definitely can use a misting machine with a screen cage.

Really ok like the cage I have now doesn't have a hole for a nozzle. Just a black frame and screen. So I have no clue.

No prob! Do you have any other questions? I'm surprised one of the senior members hasn't popped in to give their two cents. People on this forum are so helpful and nice, its great.

I hope your little girl feels better soon! Another important thing is to give her a varied diet. Crickets should only make up about 40% of the diet, not the whole thing. Feeding critters that have a high water content (hornworms, silkworms, etc.) will help get her back on track. Also, feel free to put her in a warm shower for about 30 mins daily. Not directly, but if possible angle the shower head to hit the wall so the water sprays on her (sitting on a plant or something, not walking around the bottom of the tub).

Dehydration is a serious issue.

The advice you have been given so far is good!

however, could you please post some pictures of her? it is very concerning that she is lethargic and sleeping during the day. if she is carrying eggs and has had no place to lay them she may be eggbound. if she were mine i would get her to a vet as soon as possible to see whats going on as sleeping during the day is not normal at all.

husbandry wise,

definitely get a calcium without d3 as soon as possible!

in the help form it says you have a reptigro 8.0, is that a uvb? i have never heard of a 8.0uvb before

i would up the mistings to 4-5 times a day for 3-5 minutes each as this will stimulate your chameleon to drink :) i also suggest that you either buy or make a dripper. you can make one by taking a plastic cup or well washed milk jug piercing several holes in it, putting clean water in it, and placing it on top of your chams cage over foliage so that it drips onto the leaves creating water droplets on the leaves. this will give your girl ample opportunities to drink throughout the day which will help keep her hydrated. just make sure that the cage has drainage and water isnt collecting at the bottom of the cage! you dont want water in the dripper at night as she will be sleeping then, and you want the cage to dry out before lights out :)

please keep us updated on whats going on with her

77-83 basking temps UVB tube reptigro 8.0 ten months.
Do you mean the UVB is ten months old? If so, you need to change it asap.
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? Exo terra 50 watt and reptigro 8.0 What is your daily lighting schedule?10 14 off
Do you mean you turn it on at 10 and turn it off at 14??

Please get her bigger enclosure, plain calcium and mist more often.

Yes the sleeping during the day as she's doing now concerns me. Not eating took out the same amount of crickets as they stay around the heat lamp. So many new posted? Reptigro 8.0 is a UVB tube yes.
A weird concern is her cage smells like mold today. I had her for ten months and the UVB is 4-5 months old. Lights on for ten hours and off for 14 hours. Think that's everything I did the shower thing and misted a lot more then she's use to.

Is there anyway in female panthers to know if they have eggs. Her belly looks good no bumps?

can you post a pic of you cham and your set up? What brand calcium with d3 have you been using? Some are more potent than others.
