Giant pink bum thing

I have a male Veiled cham and sometimes when he goes to poop his back end opens up really really wide like a big pink mouth. Within a minute its all back in again and looking normal and he seems happy enough, does walk a little strange for a minute though. Just wondering if this is normal? Can't really get a picture as it happens quite quickly.
