Getting your cham to climb on your hand

Hi guys,
I know that chameleons should not be handled as it causes a lot of stress but I was wondering if there was a certain way to get them to walk on your hand when needed. (going to the veterinarian or a thorough cage cleaning) I want to be prepared so if I do need to move him it will be less stressful. Thanks

you shouldn't handle them alot is really not inclusive info to stress out your cham. every pet is different no matter what the speices and how you adapt them to it. most of my chams besides my vieleds walk on my hand every chance they get. but what helps alot is hand feeding. but like i said every cham is different like people some like being around their peeps and some do not. soo don't get disguraged. so like i said try hand feeding the guy to get him use to you. and if your lucky like me he or she will want on you every chance you get. my jacksons i had in the past were always handled every day but i was in the service and all my battles wanted to hold and check them out so they were use to it and never stressed out. my chams only like me but when other people come they get and additude. remember the golden rule there is never a bad pet only bad owners and depending on how you treat them follows. so it may take some time every species adapts to whats around them. so do what i said hand feed and maybe the next thing you know he or she will always want to hang out on you.

I've been feeding him by hand several times a week since I got him. He seemed to be fine with that right away. I've tried to lure him onto my hand with a worm but he just kind of looks at me distrusting. I'll keep working on it though

Lol my cham is the exact same way, but if I have a super worm in my hand he'll usually come running, but then run back into his cage
