So my Cham is really willing to come out of his cage and hops straight on his free range, only thing is I don't know the best way to get him back in without stressing him out?
I have one that is so eager to come and and stay out that I struggle to get him back in too. He climbs to my hand, jumps to get back on me before I can even shut the door just to come back out. I have to place him into the back of the cage or were alot of foliage and sticks are and then quickly move my hand so that he is somewhat forced to grab onto a branch. I know that sounds rough... but my guy is like glue to me and it is the only way I can get him in the enclosure once he comes out.
How often you you let's your chams out? I let mine out everyday but am worried I'm stressing him out coz he seems to be staying really dark colours even when back in his cage
I read somewhere that when I Cham gets stressed it takes 7 days for the hormone to stop taking effect
Mine all come out each day. Mine does not discolor though or stress when I put him back. He just makes it very clear he wants to do whatever it takes to hang out on me of play. This is the one that also refuses to poop in his enclosure.
A few pieces of my FR can come off the wall easily (they're on hooks). Once he's on one of those removable bits I just unhook the piece he is on, and put it in the bottom of the cage. He climbs up off of it fairly quick and then I put it back.
i have a branch i use like others said i just putthe branch in front of him and go from behind to try to pick him up he always runs right up the branch and then i put the branch near his cage and he walks right in
