Getting set up

Im a new user and have a few questions about setting up enclosures. Is it absolutely inevitable that fruit flies will escape from any mesh I can find? I'm also thinking of using pvc for the frames and velcroing the screen on to make the seal tight all the way around. Any thoughts or suggestions?

What type of chameleon are you putting in it? The only time I feed fruit flies is to babies, or pygmy chameleons in which case a glass enclosure is preferred.

They are 7 week old Ambilobe Panther chameleons.

Well you can use flightless fruit flies, but there will be escapes more than likely. Those are pretty young still most keep them in a container like a rubber made until they get a little older, and can find their food more readily. I always kept my babies in a 10 gallon aquarium until about 3.5 to 4 months then they can eat small crickets.
