Getting ready

I am very confused and would like some guidance. I have almost finished setting up my vivarium, a exoterra large cage, and and seeing such varying opinions on fogging, humidifiers and misting. I live in the Deep South and humidity in my cage is currently 51-52%. I want the fogger for not only skin moisture in the winter but I was thinking I need the hand sprayer for hydration. What are some thoughts on this as we do need heat here in the south during winter.

So is it an exo glass? And what are the dimensions.. Your humidity is going to be a bit high for a Veiled in a glass enclosure. They need a daytime level of 30-40%. Night time you can go higher when all the lights are off and the cage is cooler. With anything you will want to research the heck out of it. There is a ton of incorrect info out there.

No this is a screened enclosure. I know how dry my nose gets in the winter I understand these guys can’t get dried out or it can be catastrophic.

Well if your a first time keeper I would not get a Jacksons they have extremely specific care requirements. I would get a Male over a female as female Veileds and Panthers lay infertile eggs. I would do a Panther over a Veiled Veileds can be very temperamental. I think its just really important to know what your getting into as well lol. That link will give you more info and there are tons of other podcasts he has. Here is some additional info.
