Hi everyone,
First of all thank you to the people that makes this forum a really source of information!:)

Well I decided to make this thread to share my upcoming experiences with my first chameleon. I am getting ready to get him. I have already red tons of info and researched a lot since this is gonna be my first reptile and chameleon.
Right now I'm working on his set up. I got a reptibreeze medium size screen cage (18*18*36). My bulbs are a 70w basking lamp and an exo terra 5.0 UVB light both of them in the zoomed minidom. I have some fake plants and vines. I have the driper for him to drink and already got all the supplements needed.

That is how it looks so far. I will get live plants this weekend. And planing to get the cham next week.:D:D
I would like to hear opinions :)

PD: have no idea why the image looks so big lol

Congrats on your upcoming new chameleon and welcome to the forum. Which species are you getting as this will be a good indicator of whether or not the 75w will be enough or too much? I would definitely add some live plants such as ficus or umbrella plants to raise humidity, offer hiding spots, and make it easy for your chameleon to lick water off of. Cant really tell accurately in the picture, but I would recommend the heat light be about 12inches away from the basking branch as any closer could actually burn your chameleon. Im sure you already know but make sure you have 2 diff calcium supplements, one WITH D3 that you give 2 times a month and one WITHOUT D3 that you use daily. What are you planning on feeding?

Looks good, can't wait to see pictures of your new addition!

A note about those vines. I have them as well and I am about to switch to something else. Mine have gotten droopy and the outer coating is starting to come off. I've had mine for five months though.

Great job so far! Can't wait to see your new friend. What type of chameleon are you getting? Are you going to use an automated misting system?

Oh, and by the way, Welcome to the forums! :)
