Getting a veiled Chameleon

Hey guys I’m thinking about buying a veiled chameleon pretty soon like tomorrow i already have a mesh cage 16x16x30 what are the essentials I’m gonna need to get before I buy one ? Need as much info as possible

What wattage for the Uvb bulb and for the heat source ? And what kind of live plant?

If you dont know this information i wouldnt recommend getting one tomorrow... especially from a pet store if thats what you were thinking. Just my opinion.

If you didn't have a complete setup today don't buy an animal tomorrow. You need to run the enclosure empty measuring temperatures and humidity for a few days before you put an animal in it.

16x16x30 will also be to small soon.

If you can keep him outside for a while that’s great. They seem to grow faster when kept outdoors. Here’s a couple of shots of offspring from a pair that bred for me he’s just starting to really color up
