Gender Mix Up

Hi so I have a BABY veiled chameleon, from petco. gender is unknown and I am wondering what age the chameleons develope spurrs? (if they are a male). This chameleon is litterally no bigger than my thumb and i have TEEEENY hands...he/she is about 2 inches long so i wasnt sure if i should be looking for spurrs?

in most veilds you can c the spurs right out of the egg if you know what to look for. you should be able to c them even if they are tiny little lumps. if you dont see them by now you more than likely have a female

haha yea they do but you dont have to worry about that for a while. if you got it at petco and it hasnt been 14 days you can exchange her. if you were looking for a male. (nothing against females) most people just prefer males cause they tend to be more colorful

they have a 14 day thing where if you are not satisfied or for whatever reason you decide to you can return or exchange him. there is nothing wrong with females tho!!! lol but its understandable if you were looking for a male
on another note petco tends to price their veilds at $90 wich is kinda steep. im sure if you looked up a local reptile shop you could find one for about $40-$70
