Ahh that makes me really nervousI think I agree with Mike, He looks like a she. With veiled chameleons the males will have a pronounced spur sticking out of the back feet.
But don’t they develop spurs a month or so in? Dino isn’t quite a month yet ?Ahh that makes me really nervous
The more research I’m doing the more my chameleon seems like a male though, some are born without spurs and Dino happens to be reeeeallly territorial, and kind of hates handling, and is also growing really super fast. I’m not sure if this info helps but that’s what I’m getting, also the bulge on the tail too?Typically, you can tell the sex of a veiled chameleon at that age. Your Cham looks to be over a month as well. Prob at least 2 months. Hopefully other keepers will chime in and give their input as well.
I’ll have to tomorrow, he’s really stressed at the moment and I don’t wanna make it worse, thanks so much for your input so far everyone, I appreciate it!Please post a better photo of the back of his back feet.
Even though she is a girl there are very experienced keepers that can help you through all the husbandry so you are in good handsYeah.. now I’m just nervous about a girl veiled becoming eggbound though... is there anything I can do to stop Dino from laying eggs?
Thank you so much! I appreciate it!Even though she is a girl there are very experienced keepers that can help you through all the husbandry so you are in good hands
