Ah, but 1) not all egg-laying species will lay eggs if unmated, and 2) some lizards, including some geckos, are parthenogenic, and do not need males to produce offspring. But I'm just being annoyingly erudite, and don't know the answer to the question.
well on Christmas i was surprised with a flying gecko, and now from all the researching i have done their are 2 small white eggs glued onto the side of its enclosure. So today i went to the pet shop it was purchased at and they still had the 1 mine was housed with, and sure enough it was a male so that just means my eggs are most likely fertile correct?
Probably, but sometimes even with a male a female can lay infertile eggs. I've bred leos and cresties and especially a female's first season, the first one or two clutches were completely useless. Some did great, and others not at all. But they very well could be fertile
