Funny feeding invention...

So Im not sure if someone has done this already...I feed my Rudis's by putting crickets in a small deli cup and putting it in the middle of the cage. Whenever I do this they all come down and hang off different vines/branches and the feeding frenzy is on. To make it a little more appealing I stuck two small sticks standing up right in the deli cups. The crickets climb the sticks and get picked off from there. Its pretty fun to watch instead of them just picking them off in the cup. Just wanted to share that. Laters!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes this is very common way of feeding, lots do it,not me yet as I like for my chameleon to hunt ! He is still young! This is called (cup feeding)

That does sound entertaining, but you have 3 Rudis so how about a bigger cup with 3 sticks in.........

Ok buddy! I think I know what cup feeding is...I was referring to the sticks in the cup.

Not meaning to rain on your invention or anything, but you could just free range with lots of sticks.........and leaves and stuff.............:D

I don't like free ranging crickets. I have all my chams on regular feeding schedules. This way I can monitor their eating and watch for any irregularities. Even my pygmies, although I just drop in crickets I monitor them while feeding as they normally clean up their enclosure within minutes. I never leave extra crickets roaming inside the tanks.

Fair enough - I agree. I do have soil in my Vivs, and had this plan of totally self sufficient naturalistic-looking awesomeness. It went really well, crickets breeding in there, plants not dying too often, fruit flies finding their feet........had a couple of tiny millipedes appear, probably eating baby crickets. Anytime some cricket died, or cricket flakes went bad, springtails would appear and eat the detritus........
Only problem was my little girl started getting a little too plump, and I was worried about overeating......now it's cups and bowls (almost :D )all the way.......
