Funny baby cham

So my baby just got in his feeder cup and ate a cricket. He came back up and I was checking to see how many he ate, and noticed he had a leg stuck to the side of his face! haha I guess he's saving that for later!

Well, we had a slight mishap earlier where he caught the cricket at the wrong angle and it was able to twist itsself around and fight back! He evntually let go and turned the darkest green I have ever seen him! I left him alone and put the cricket cup in his cage and about an hour later, after he returned to his usual light green, he went and got him one! :D

How are you going about getting him to cup feed? I'm having troubles getting my new lil girl to eat from it. And the feeders are to small to free range, it really worries me :(

Well, to be honest, I still haven't perfected it. I use a cleaned out cream cheese container. I maim the crickets by tearing off their legs and put them in there. That way they can still wiggle but can't jump all over the place. He's still really tiny(only 4 weeks old) so if he hasn't eaten anything by around 5pm, I will take the cup of feeders and hold them near him. Usually, he will crawl on the top of the cup, and if he does this I pull him out so I can monitor his eating better(plus, it's really hard to hold a cup of feeders perfectly still in the same spot for a long time). He's gotten to where, most days, he will go over to it himself. I don't know, though, bc, like I said, some days it's like he doesn't see them, even though his cage is pretty small(16x16x20), so sometimes he has to be enticed. You can always pm me if you have any questions.

I use a smaller diameter cup, so that the crickets cant spring high enough to jump out!!
Molly is right tho,,,sometimes you have to coax the little fellas into looking into the bowl,,,,my guy knows what the bowl is now so all i gotta do is put it between 2 branches and he is already there waiting for my hand to get out of the way!!!!

I can't wait till my little dude starts doing that! He has been doing it some, but sometimes I still have to show it to him, maybe get one in my fingers and hold it close to him to get him enticed.
