So in LA when it rains it's like the world ends! People forget how to drive.... MAN.... First rain of the year, it never fails to destroy traffic.

Where I am we have two seasons; Winter and August.
If you think the first rain fall is bad you should see all the cars crashed and in the ditch for the first snow fall.
Seems nobody is ready no matter when it hits, and forgets how to drive in the snow.

comming from NY, I lived just outside Luisville Kentucky for 2 1/2 years.
I used to find it funny as heck to see people all over the road when there was only 1/4" of snow on the road.
not that the snow lasted more then 12 hours on the road mind you, but while it was down you would get people who think you can still drive 55 durring a turn in the highway at night when there could be some black ice underneath.
or how they think they can do 35 on the streets and stop short at a red light and not slide through the intersection.

then again, the most cars I've seen in a ditch on the side of the road was in Flagstaff AZ...I counted 35 cars within half a mile on the way south to Pheonix.
you would think a big ski town would know better.

the best or safest drivers I've seen was in Denver CO.
they say F it, and stay home when it snows.

haha it took me about twice as long to get to school as it usually does. Im at Chapman and the 55 for you so cal people and take the 55 to the 91 to the 57..... kill me

Don't go there Kevin. It is snowing and 34 degrees here. Also I would love to have a traffic jam just to have some cars. A traffic jam in Harve is 4 cars trying to leave the Walmart parking lot at the same time. I am sooooooooo glad I am coming back to soca the 1st of Nov.

You have snow?! Wow! I love it when it snows, but we don't get it that often in the UK. Certainly not on the scale of what you guys get in the US! We only need to get an inch or so for everything to grind to a halt - we are just not used to it!

Here in Montana, about 30 miles south of Canada we get lots of snow. That is why I am looking forward to November and a couple of weeks back in Sunny Southern California!!!!!!!!!!!!

Winter and August -- at least you get August! We missed out on ours this year, so we've just stayed on winter. Got our first snowfall last Saturday and it was seriously bad. Ice sheets everywhere, but people here still went about their business. If we didn't we'd be housebound most of the year.
