That's kinda like me....I never stopped growing. I just grow out instead of up.

Males can get up to 24" total from head to tail.

Like the above poster said, they never stop actually growing, which is why they continue to shed throughout their life, they just slow down.
However, males can take up to 30 months to reach their full adult size.
