If you are cup feeding your fruit flies, how do you make them stay in the cup and not wander around the entire cage?? Getting really mad at them now hate to clean the cagefloor from dead ones all day.
Those little buggers can even climb glass! Can you try putting a teeny tiny bit of banana or apple in the bottom of the cup and see if they stay if there's food? I've never tried cup feeding them, that sounds like a challenge.
When I get my pygmy I was gonna feed him melongaster but I'll have a lot of escapees because I have a combo tank with aluminum screen sides. I'm pretty sure you do, but are you suppose to dust flies?
