Have you seen the ff culturing kit Josh's Frogs sells? I just ordered it today for my clutch thats hatching now. Ive ordered his premade cultures and they are the best producers Ive ever seen hands down.

No I have not. The medium I use is very simple to do and at $6 a vial of ff, I thought of starting my own culture...and I succesed!

Take a look at Joshs kit its cheap. And you can do like twenty cultures from one kit.

Also for what its worth,....I get my medium from "eds fly meat" and "joshs"...Cups from "smart and final" and my insect lids from Superior shipping...you have to buy in bulk but It saves me major $$$$$!!! to D.I.Y!!!!!!!!!

I use Josh's Frogs media - ordered the big carton of it and have made over 20 cultures and it doesn't even look like any is missing. Great stuff that doesn't go bad for like over a month! I use spaghetti sauce jars for my cultures and then just wash them out. Only bought the media and the original culture.

I was looking at getting some of the ff medium from Josh's Frogs. What do you have to mix it with it? Just water?

Hmmm...did not think of using glass jars, I use the plastic deli cups that i get at the store when I buy olives and musrooms. After each use I just toss out the cups...
