So unfortunately it looks like your chams fall is due to MBD, either to wrong supplementation or wrong lighting. Your cham will need a vet. You cannot cure MBD, but you can stop it from getting worse and provide your cham a better life.

If you fill this out and include pictures, we can do a review of your husbandry.

Chameleon Info:
  • Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
  • Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
  • Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
  • Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
  • Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
  • Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
  • History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:
  • Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
  • Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
  • Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
  • Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
  • Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
  • Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
  • Location - Where are you geographically located?

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.

Please Note:
  1. The more details you provide the better and more accurate help you will receive.
  2. Photos can be very helpful.

He is also looks to be a she. She needs an experienced chameleon vet ASAP and to be put in a hospital bin! Going to the vet ASAP is the only thing that can hopefully save her. Tell them it is an emergency, because it is, so she can be seen immediately! If no chameleon vets are open (depending on what time it is in whatever part of the world you live in), she needs to be taken to a 24 hr exotic animal hospital to keep her alive until then, unless the chameleon vet works there (mine does, it is a vet practice and emergency hospital). There are major husbandry changes that need to be made, but we need to make sure she lives before going over them.

One of the members here uses this vet and made the comment below about him.

Dr. Brad Minson
Banfield Pet Hospital

He handles exotics for the Oklahoma City Zoo and he's great with chameleons!

There’s also All Creatures in Tulsa that sees chameleons.

Meal worms
Definitely take her to one of those vets ASAP (tell them it’s an emergency because it is and so you can be seen faster)! Here is a chart of healthy staple feeders (rotate through as many as you can to add variety and different nutrients!) and gutload:

Yeah, 9 worms a week is one a day except on weekends.
I'm surprised that would be enough for a 5 mo.old.

Could we have a more accurate accounting of what s/he eats in a week? THX
