Frog Moss.

I got this frog moss from petco and the brand is zoo med, but i was wondering if its okay to put in my chams cage?

Sure, it's just pillow moss. You need to "plant" it on top of a substrate, though, as it is designed to be ground cover. It's a neat way to make the bottom of your cage more aesthetically pleasing, but it is not the chunks of particle type bedding that often gets stuck to a chameleon's tongue when feeding.

The most common application for it is in vivariums, as ground cover for dart frog tanks and similar small frog species, which is why it's called "frog moss". :)

Hey thanks for the reply jen now i dont have to worry about it harming my cham.
And i got the moss on a stone floor tile at the bottom of my chams cage hopefully that works.

ive done this before, it stays plenty moist down there. but i plant my cages so heavily very little light gets down there. so you might need to light the cage floor if youre anything like me.

i ended up taking what hadnt died out due to lack of light and put it in a gecko cage...where it subsequently dried out :p

i think it should be fine for now it gets a good amount of light down there and does stay moist but well just have to find out how it goes in the future :)
