Fresh Homer Pics ~^ months

Looks happy There, I love how they always look at you while you take a pic.
Amazes me how much they change.
I dont know if homer is big size wise, never really had the opportunity to compare.
Weightwise, he was about 100 odd grams at about 4 months from memory (weight thread here somewhere) I havent weighed him since, might be time I did now that I think of it. I might have a go tomorrow. :)

Yeah, he was happy there! He spent a few days in that plant!

Oh yeah! This is Dante the day after I got him:

He was so tiny it was ridiculous!

I've always thought Dante was an average size, with a slightly undersized casque, but your guy is looking formidable already! :p

I haven't ever weighed Dante. I probably should, but I tried a while ago and he was having none of it! Kept making a break for it!

Cute! I remember how small Homer was at 3 weeks old, sure I have a pic or two of him then, stored away on disc somewhere, atleast I hope so. I remember he sat comfortably draped over my thumb!
I remember I sprayed him alot initially, he must've thought he was living in London :p

Weighing isnt easy for sure, I weighed a thin twig, then got homer on it and weighed both, subtract the twig weight. Thing is they wont sit horizontal the buggers, always try to climb upward off the stick makes it really awkward, so you have to look quick, they wont be nearly as patient the second time.
Hardest creature Ive ever had to weigh! :)
I was thinking maybe setting up some kind of sling like rig, so the cham, stick n all can sit kind of upright-ish in it, rather than try to sit them on the scale.
Those big square silver vet scales for dogs would be good, you could sit em on it and get a weight by the time they walked across it.

Im getting a male as soon i can beg my dad. I have A LOT of time left though maybe by then i can afford one. Right now the economy sucks big time BUT MY DAD GOT A NEW JOB!!!!!!!!!!! YAY I hope the economy changes good for all of us:D:D:D:D

I hope so too Clea, be patient, it will be worth waiting. Dad's doing the best he can, be proud of him.
Congrats on his new job. :)

Yeah, my guy just kept trying to climb out so I have just never gotten round to it! The sling idea would make it quite a bit of sense and would work well!

Just taken your advice and bought some of that soft twist tie. Should have read the blurb better as I only bought the 5mm stuff (there was 8mm available) but it'll be good enough to twist together. I can always give some to my old man if he needs it and buy some bigger stuff later!

Give it a go, you can always twist it double. If you attach hooks or ties and just twist that stuff, makes removing it easy, so you can change it around whatever.

Dantes casque looks pretty normal to me, gotta expect some genetic varience.
Maybe homer has '70's' genes? Big hair=big casque! :D

Yeah, i was going to wrap it around stuff anyway or double twist it. It may still be a bit thin, but I can always sell a bit of it and just buy some thicker stuff! I did buy 5 packs of 5m!
