His yellows look awesome! Very impressive! Does your guy hate the camera as much as mine? I swear, the camera is the biggest thing he will ever take offence to! But, it's just my camera. Any other camera he is fine with, but mine, is like the most offensive thing I could ever say or do to him!
Cant say Ive noticed really Jim, Havent really gotten snap happy with him. I had to give him a bit of a poke with my finger to annoy him this morning. Not much bothers him but not long ago, a friend bought me a large locust that stowed away from up north.
I put it in and he freaked out, fired up like the pic, flattened his side toward it, wouldnt touch it!
In the end I had to catch it again and gave it to one of the beardies, no qualms there, went down like a cold beer in a dust storm.
The suns actually made an appearance for the first time in 2 weeks, just in the last half hour, so I might go take him outside and try to get a few sun pics.
Well I tried to get some sun pics but Homer didnt exactly co-operate. Kept squirming away like a little kid, turning this way and that, and refused to fire up at all. But you can see how the sun effects his color some (below).
Im not a photographer by any means!
Jo Homer is a real stunner!! Wow to have that color at only six months, you must be such a proud papa. Come on ruin your image and admit you are a very proud papa, i know I would if that boy was mine.
Simon, give your boy a few months, he may look even better! Natural sun really brings out colors. Now if I can just get him to fireup in the sun (and take a half decent closeup LOL) .
Spose I should have added this photo so you could see the comparison!
Him sort of normal in his enclosure (just about to get really ****ed that the camera is back again!)
LOl, almost seems to have a pissed off expression in the bottom pic
Looks great Jim, I notice he has some intresting horizontal markings, much more defined than mine, Looks cool! I like how they're outlined in black.
How old is Dante now?, looks close to mine in size.
Dan
He is on his way to being pissed! He really hates my camera!
Yeah, his dad had those too (He was a stunning cham as well!)
He's a year old (think he's about 10/11 months in the bottom picture and one year in the top 2). How old is Homer?
Homers 6 months +/- a week. You must have jinxed me this morning, Homer was a pain in the pipe when I tried to snap him outside, kept nicking off on me!
Im half hoping homer isnt done developing color yet, but then again, Id be happy if he stayed plain green so long as hes healthy.
Wow! Big fella too then! Dante was on the usual spurt till about 7 months, since then his growing has slowed right down. He's going to shed soon though (as his feet and tail have just finished). I just hope Dante's casque gets a little larger! I think his colours are fantastic so he just needs it to be a bit more impressive to the ladies!
Dante has only once ever really gone for me, and it was the day those 2 photo's were taken. I let him sit in that plant ALL day (stayed there after I finished cleaning). I tried to move him just before bed time, and he gave me the **** off colours, so I left him to it, thinking once the sun had gone it he'd happily retreat into his enclosure. But nope, I was wrong! I had to move him around 9 becuase the temp by the window would have been about 10'c at night as my window is rubbish! And yeah, he got seriously pissed off and kept trying to bite me. Never seen him so angry. In the end, I did the simple thing, moved stuff around in his enclosure, and just put the plant he was sitting on into it! The next day everything was fine! Crazy creatures sometimes!
Here's a pic of Dante at 4/5 months outside in the garden when I got him last year:
