Hey everyone, i have been out of the loop for awhile now and just recently have been on the forums again! FINALLY after moving around and getting my girlfriend and i settled in she finally has decided to let hop back into my hobby :3 I am starting completely fresh and just ordered a 65 gal. screen cage, lights, and bulbs. I am kinda stuck at a crossroads though :/ i dont know what kind of chameleon to get. i loved my veiled i had but i kinda am looking at mellers too! I just wanted to get some input from people on those or any chameleons for that matter. I also wanted to get an idea of what supplements to use and when to use them! Haha, i guess in short i want some input on where to put my money on supplies and ideas on what kinda cham to get because im not a pro yet lol! thanks and im hoping for some good feedback!

Welcome back. Are you looking at a baby or an adult? Melleri baby's are hard to come by. Supplements sort of depend on the cham, a lot of people are using the Repshay all in one for panthers and veileds, but not for montane's.
If you get anything but a baby your cage is already to small.

We have a lot more keepers in Indiana and surrounding states than when you were here before. May not have to ship a cham.:D

honestly i dont mind either a baby or adult. online i found meller adults for around 180.00 shipped. and i mean veileds are everywhere! I have even been thinking about a panther, and if you know anyone in indiana that breeds ANY chameleons that would be AWESOME! haha

I have just the guy for you!! His name is John, forum name ataraxia. He is in Terre Haute, IN Shoot him a pm - great guy.

Laurie THANK YOU! and hahahaha if i come across any i will for sure let you know man! i have only found adults so far!

yeah that seems to be what i am seeing. Free range is the better choice for them! I think i am going to try and find a breed of chameleon that i can have a little bit easier time working with( i know they are all hard) and maybe one that i can start learning to breed with if i wanna go down that path, so if anyone has any ideas on what a good breed to start that with is let me know! My set up got shipped out today and i am going to buy some foggers and misting machines next weekend along with live plants and decor!
