Hello all! I thought I would share my latest chameleon project. Today I added on a free range area to Be's (my panther chameleon) cage. I had always planned to free range him once he became big enough and now that is six months I don't have to worry about him jumping on the floor and becoming lost in the cham room. Now that he is larger I won't have any problems finding him if he were to feel like exploring the entire room. In another six months or so I will convert him over to a full time free range but for the time I will free range him only during the day.
The FR area was created with bamboo garden sticks from Walmart $2.88 and fake flower bouquets (from the dollar store) that I separated and attached the the bamboo. Two wooden bars were added to the side of the cage. Holes drilled into these bars allowed the bamboo sticks to sit or be held in place. The final touch was a bendable vine which connects inside of his cage for his free range times. He just started a shed today so he's been moving around alote. if you guys have any questions or concerns please let me know, otherwise enjoy!
