Here are some recent pics of my female xanth with occular horns, Stella.
You can see that her horns are not near as developed as a males, especially her occular. They all shoot straight up as well. She displays these colors 99% of the time nowadays, she was primarily gray and red when I got her 6-7 months ago, then went to the "cinnimon" and then darker jungle green, and now seems to be getting lighter and more yellow.
Chris confirmed her female when I got her and said she was at least a year old if memory serves. So that would put her at about a year and a half now.
I dont have any of her showing red atm. Ill see about getting some tomarrow. She shows the red primarily in her gullular region, a little on her side, and somewhat in the tail. She had never been very personable, but a month ago I got a new baby ambilobe from imcurt.
I think she must be jealous, because now I have to be carefull! She will literally jump onto me when I have the cages open for feeding/cleaning.
Since I mentioned him, heres one of Donahue (get it, Don-a-hue) a week after I got him having a cricket. Hes since shed and is looking more and more awsome. I had never seen a panther in real life, and was astonished to see how vibrant this guy was!
