Food amounts

Hi all.

Am I right thinking that I should start to feed my Cham's every 2 days when they reach about adult size? Approx 12months old?

I have started to notice that my Cham's have started eating less each day over the past month or so. Not sure if this is because they are no longer babies or whether they are just bored of crickets?

My Panther is almost 6months old and my Veiled is almost 4.5months old.

I will feed about 8-12 medium size crickets each day. Its rare that they eat all of them now. I often find 2-4 left in each cage.

They are eating/drinking/pooing/shedding and have both been cleared of parasites so I dont think they are unwell.

Should I start varying their food perhaps? Or is this just them getting older?

This is just them getting older. When I had my veiled his eating slowed down considerably at about 6-7 months of age. I would not worry about it unless you see either of their health deteriorating.

They appetite will often naturally decreased as they get older. At about one year old, you'll want to offer about 1-4 bugs per day (2-8 if you choose to feed every other day)
